Here's a glimpse into some of my favorite local venues...
Ever dreamed of getting married on a rooftop with views of the downtown skyline? The perfect venue just re-opened in downtown Sacramento. And it's close to the cathedral downtown! Perfect for smaller weddings, this glass-encased rooftop sparkling with market lights will put you and your guests under the stars. If you're going for intimate, modern, and romantic (all vibes I love!), THIS is a venue that you absolutely need to check out!
2. Bloc Venue
This venue is the perfect blank canvas. A mix of slightly industrial and minimalistic style, the black and white colors of the venue and pops of greenery lead to a modern feel that will work well with any color palette. The textures of mirror, wood and brick are fun accents throughout the venue. And there is a beautiful bridal suite for you and your ladies. You can truly make this venue your own, and with such a modern and minimal interior there are many possibilities!
This venue can be found nestled along the delta river just outside of Sacramento. A gorgeous estate with beautiful grounds, hidden statues and ornate detail, this venue is perfect for those who love Bridgerton or just love the historical elegant feel. Take a step back into history in the timeless elegance of this mansion and have a wedding fit for royalty.
This venue has all the character and class of a country club. With its neutral carpeting (which is truly a rare find), and its neutral walls you can truly make it your own. There's a beautiful private ceremony space outside with a beautiful big arch that you can adorn with florals or draping, along with another outdoor space that overlooks the green, and several unique indoor spaces with that country club feel. If you're going for the "old money" aesthetic, this is a great venue for you!
Looking to be transported to a beautiful vineyard in Napa but stay in your backyard? Look no further than the beautiful Wolfe Heights Estate Winery in Sacramento. One of my favorite features of this venue is the ceremony area, surrounded by benches 360 degrees so that your guests can watch the nuptials from all angles surrounded by lush greenery. Sweeping willow trees and beautiful flowers surround this venue when spring hits, and it's truly one of the most gorgeous venues in the area. If you are going for an upscale garden party vibe, THIS is your venue.
If you have many guests traveling in from out of town, sometimes the best option is a centrally located hotel that hosts picturesque weddings too. And if you're looking for a more modern hotel in the hustle and bustle of downtown Sacramento, The Kimpton Sawyer is your go-to! With its upscale and chic style, this hotel offers some great photo locations and multiple event spaces. And what's better than getting ready at your venue and already being steps away from your room once the wedding is over (or being able to bar hop locally and keep the night going with some of your guests)?
This venue is a little bit of a drive from Sacramento, but the view is completely worth it. This venue lives up to the phrase "Luxury destination wedding venue." A luxurious villa sits atop a hill overlooking the vineyard and the mountains in the distance. The venue is spacious, scenic and private with a modern feel. If you're looking for a more modern retreat-style destination wedding, then look no further!
This ballroom is great because it’s not an overly ornate ballroom like some of the event halls that are in the area. It's a former warehouse so there is a bit of a brick/industrial feel, but the venue uniquely also has the capability of using draping in several different ways to enhance or section off the space. I think the elegance in this venue is also that it’s a blank canvas that you can take and make your own because the interior colors are neutral. The different textures of brick and concrete paired with the chandeliers and drapery are a magical touch.
This event center is located in an unlikely spot in Carmichael and could be the perfect spot for a wedding reception, gala, charity event, or other upscale gathering. Its interior is modern and clean, with elegant modern looking chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and neutral gray/white/silvery colors. There's also a patio outside with a fireplace. Having an on-site caterer and also including tables, linens, and chairs makes planning your next event here a breeze. This venue is a great hidden gem if you're looking for a reception location or a small wedding ceremony/reception area.
10. The Celine
The Celine is Sacramento's newest event venue. Located in downtown Sacramento, this event hall is a seemingly normal building on the outside, with a rich history and elegant detail on the inside. The marble interior and gold details compliment an elegant event very well. And the 360 degree balcony overlooking the event space makes for some really great photography/videography angles and a great viewing spot for guests.
