About me

I am proud to be an Alumni of San Diego State University, where I graduated in 2019 with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meetings & Events. During that time, I gained experience through volunteering for various types of events and through multiple hotel internships/jobs. These hotel jobs gave me some great perspective on the hotel side of events (sales, banquet setup, group reservations, contracts, and more), contributing to the wholehearted approach I use to plan each event today.

MEETING & EVENT PLANNER: Nonprofit Association

  • Works directly with elected officials and agency heads to get goals accomplished

  • Curates and develops certified training curriculum for event attendees

  • Coordinates 100+ sponsorships and 2 Annual tradeshows a year while working to expand vendor outreach

PROJECT ASSISTANT: Nonprofit Association

  • Successfully coordinated a virtual credit-certified conference for over 1,000 attendees

  • Boosted social media reach/marketing

  • Staffed and offered support for various events

HOTEL SALES: Sheraton Hotel Mission Valley

  • Worked on contract negotiations with potential clients

  • Prepared BEOs, event floorplans, group room blocks, room setup, etc.

  • Developed a template for and disseminated post-event reports to hotel staff to continuously evaluate and improve service delivery

I have experience in trade shows, trainings, board meetings, sponsor management, events where dignitaries are present, and various other social events.
